The Carabinieri of the Agropoli Company have executed four precautionary measures against as many suspects held responsible for a series of thefts from cars parked along the Cilento coast.
The order, signed by the investigating judge of the Vallo della Lucania Court at the request of the Valais Public Prosecutor's Office, orders house arrest for two men and the obligation for two women to report to the judicial police.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the group allegedly operated in early 2025, striking in various tourist locations—Ascea, Casal Velino, Capaccio-Paestum, and Castellabate—taking advantage of cars parked near beaches and seaside resorts.

The investigation also documented another incident: the theft of a car in Laureana Cilento, recovered a few days later in Capaccio-Paestum. A detail deemed significant by the Carabinieri concerns the management of the stolen goods: the clothing stolen from the cars was apparently resold online through a social media profile linked to one of the suspects.
During the searches, some of the stolen goods were recovered and subsequently returned to their rightful owners. Investigations are continuing to determine any additional responsibilities and determine whether the gang may have also struck in other coastal towns.
