The Campania Regional Council election marks a dramatic shift in the landscape: more than twenty outgoing councilors were not re-elected, marking a significant shift in the local political landscape. Among the most notable exclusions is Valeria Ciarambino, a candidate for the Italian Socialist Party after years of activism in the Five Star Movement and subsequent stint in the Mixed Group, who received only 3.400 votes in the Naples constituency. Also excluded are Fulvio Frezza, Luigi Cirillo, and Giuseppe Sommese, whose scores, while substantial, were not enough to secure their return to the chamber.
The center-right suffered several setbacks: the League lost prominent figures such as Felice Di Maiolo, Severino Nappi, and Carmela Rescigno, while former rector Aurelio Tommasetti and Alfonso Piscitelli failed to win seats. Italia Viva and other smaller forces failed to reappoint candidates such as Maria Luigia Iodice, Maria Grazia Di Scala, Tommaso Pellegrino, and Franco Cascone of Forza Italia.
Among the "outstanding exits" were Roberta Gaeta (Alliance of the Greens and the Left), Nunzio Carpentieri (Brothers of Italy), and two Five Star Movement representatives, Vincenzo Ciampi and Michele Cammarano. Pasquale Di Fenza, a Forza Italia candidate after his expulsion from Azione, also failed to make it, supported on social media by TikToker Rita De Crescenzo.

The situation in the Campania Regional Council appears truly complicated, with many councilors not being re-elected. It's interesting to note how the political geography is changing and what effects it will have on the future.
