San Bartolomeo in Galdo – An explosion shattered the silence of the night in the center of the Sannio town, where a group of criminals blew up the ATM of the Credem branch. The attack, which occurred around 3:00 a.m., was carried out using military methods: they took just a few minutes to plant the explosives, detonate them, and escape with the cash.
The shockwave destroyed part of the bank's entrance and damaged several nearby windows, sowing fear among residents awakened by the noise. Carabinieri from the San Bartolomeo in Galdo Company and bomb squads responded to the scene, conducting surveys and reconstructing the incident.

Law enforcement is collecting surveillance camera footage to identify the perpetrators, but the exact value of the loot remains to be determined. Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the same gang may be responsible for other similar attacks in the province of Benevento in recent weeks.

This was a very worrying event; it seems safety is no longer a priority. I hope the authorities can find those responsible for this violent act and that the community can return to normalcy as soon as possible.
