Federico II Multiple Sclerosis Center earns gold certification: ISO 9001 certification renewed

Naples – The Federico II University Hospital of Naples has renewed the prestigious ISO 9001 certification for its Multiple Sclerosis Center. The recognition, issued by Certifica Srl, arrived recently and recognizes the clinical center's excellence in the management of degenerative neurological diseases.

The center managed by the UOS – Multiple Sclerosis Center thus confirms its position as a regional and national reference point. The certification covers "the clinical and organizational management of the diagnosis and treatment process for patients with multiple sclerosis and other degenerative neurological diseases, both in outpatient and day hospital settings – Clinical trial management."

The renewal of the quality seal certifies the level of excellence achieved in the planning, delivery, and monitoring of clinical pathways.

The system ensures high standards in four critical areas: patient management and continuity of care; internal process organization; procedural safety and appropriateness; and participation in clinical trials according to international criteria.

It's interesting that this center renewed its ISO 9001 certification, but I hope other hospitals can do the same to improve the care of patients with multiple sclerosis and other neurological diseases.
