Naples– "Four more or less days won't make a difference." Roberto Fico is opting for calm and deliberation as the decisive moment for the composition of the new regional government approaches.
Interviewed by Casa Corriere, the president-elect of Campania reiterated that the issue isn't timing, but the quality of the executive that will lead the region in the coming years.
"The goal," Fico explains, "is to build a team capable of meeting the challenges ahead, with responsibility, political representation, and solid expertise in the various areas of intervention." So, there's no rush: it's better to take the time necessary to define a structure that brings together political parties, civic groups, and external professionals.
The president-elect reaffirms the method he's been following since his victory: "I've asked everyone to be fully responsible and have the will to do what's necessary well. Through dialogue between the parties and with civil society, we must identify what's truly beneficial to the people of Campania, regardless of any affiliation."
The political balance—Fico reassures—will be respected, as will the prominence of the various groups that supported his candidacy. But the compass remains one: working for the common good.
"Politics," he concludes, "must not be self-referential. It must be proactive, capable of achieving the goals we have set ourselves, and concretely helping the people who live in the area."
A message that sounds like a warning to his future majority: the government will be born from discussion, but it will not be a land of division.

These were the ones who said one is worth one – seats change people
We are waiting for the name of the person who is putting the health system in charge, which is a disaster.
They await the words of the Messiah DE LUCA
My poor land!!!
The haters are dying. They don't know what to invent.
We have to wait for ZÌ VICIENZ's will!!!
Don't rush too much
Mena Di Fiore But what are you trying to invent... here in Campania nothing has changed for thirty years.
Let's see what your boss will tell you behind you.
Nino Serpico, if she went to the region in a week, would gorge herself with her intelligence and everything would be fine.
Certainly the first hitches with De Luca and Mastella
This is what we deserve, a shitty ending.
Don't mention it...wait and hope...
It will be a disaster for the Campania region
Mena Di Fiore will place eco-bales in nativity scenes
Practically beyond the low turnout, worse for those who don't vote, depriving themselves of a right, the situation is tragic.
Because the 5-stable Fico will have to remain "dependent" on the PD because they received very few votes, a meager 9% against the PD's approximately 27%.
They will reduce Naples and Campania to a misery.
I feel sick.
Let's hope they argue immediately and that we can go back to voting in the spring.
Rosario Marchetiello I hope so very much
Don't worry, we're all eating.
Luigia Chianese wait for Gigino the drinks man to come back and put everything back in order
If it respects the balance, the Democratic Party will have almost all the councilors
Take De Luca's son and Mastella's son and throw…..
The article presents Roberto Fico's clear vision and intentions, but I believe it's full of words without any real practical substance. Calm is good, but concrete actions for citizens are also needed.
