A former Napoli player has sent a message of support for Antonio Conte. Rino Gattuso, now the national team's coach, defended the Salento-born coach after his bitter comments after the Bologna match.

“I know there's a great coach there, someone who's won a lot and who knows how to move.”he said Gattuso. "I worked in Naples for 19 months: when you win, it's always difficult to repeat that feat, but Antonio has the strength and ability to overcome this moment, which isn't such a bad one. Looking at the standings, they're all there."

These words seek to restore calm to the Azzurri after days of tension amid disappointing results and criticism. Gattuso, who is well aware of the pressure from Naples, urges players not to overdramatize and to trust Conte's method. During the interview, the former Valencia coach also expressed his appreciation for Luciano Spalletti, currently at the helm of Juventus and his predecessor in the national team: “I heard from him, I congratulated him and wished him good luck, that was the least I could do.”

I think Gattuso's words are good, but I don't know if Conte can do as well as they say. Napoli needs results, and let's hope the situation improves soon, otherwise it will be complicated.
