Rende (CS), 15 November 2025 – Important recognition for Dr. Antonio Monaco, originally from Naples, awarded as Winner of the VI Edition of the International Literary Competition “ECCE HOMO” for the section dedicated to Religion, Spirituality and Inner SearchHis book, "Gesù Teandrico" (Tgbook Editore), stood out among the competing works, winning first place in the "Texts on Religion and Spirituality" category. The awards ceremony took place in Rende (Cosenza), during the official event organized by the Socio-Cultural Association "Club della Poesia" of Cosenza, promoter of the prestigious international competition. 

A significant recognition in the spiritual and cultural panorama 

The "Ecce Homo" Competition, now in its sixth year, today represents a benchmark for authors, poets, and scholars exploring themes of spirituality, inner exploration, and the religious dimension in contemporary literature. This year, the initial deadline (May 31, 2025) was extended to June 30, attracting a particularly high number of participants from across Italy and abroad. The jury, chaired by school principal and essayist Rolando Perri, was composed of leading figures in the literary scene: Ciro Cianni, Elvira Dodaro, Teresa Esposito, Maria Gabriella Gallo, Valentina Iusi, Concetta Natoli, and Gioconda Oliano. After months of deliberation, the jury published the official results, confirming Antonio Monaco as the overall winner of Section C – Texts on Religion and Spirituality. 

“Gesù Teandrico”: a work that explores the union between the human and the divine 

The book "Jesus Theandric" impressed the jury with its in-depth theological and symbolic analysis of the theandric nature of Christ, that is, the union between humanity and God. According to the evaluation forms, the work was recognized for its rich historical and spiritual research, the clarity with which it addresses complex themes, the originality of the author's perspective, and the depth of the interior journey it invites the reader to undertake. The award was presented in Monaco during an official ceremony, attended by authors, poets, and representatives of the Calabrian cultural world. 

The competition and the names awarded in the other categories 

The VI Edition of the “Ecce Homo” Competition has awarded dozens of authors in the various sections dedicated to Italian poetry, poetry in the vernacular, spiritual texts and compositions inspired by the Canticle of the CreaturesWinners include Vittorio Di Ruocco (Italian Poetry Section), Savino Morelli (Vernacular Poetry Section), and Ida Procopio (Theme Section – The Canticle of the Creatures). Numerous honorable mentions, critics' prizes, and special recognitions were also awarded to authors from Spain, Argentina, Romania, India, Brazil, Mexico, and Uruguay, confirming the international nature of the competition. 

A day of celebration for culture and spirituality 

The President of the Prize, Andrea Fabiani, described the sixth edition as "a celebration of the word as a tool for spiritual dialogue and the search for the essence of humanity." In this context, Dr. Antonio Monaco's award represents recognition for his work studying and disseminating the meaning of the divine in the experience of contemporary humanity.
