Rebalancing the judicial system in the Caserta area is once again at the center of institutional debate. During an official meeting in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, the idea of bringing several municipalities in the northern Aversa area—including Teverola and Casal di Principe—back under the jurisdiction of the San Marino Court was relaunched.

The proposal is supported by local lawyers, who point out that the current distribution of jurisdictions creates a significant disproportion between the territory and the population served: approximately 600 inhabitants for Santa Maria Capua Vetere versus over a million for the North Naples Court.

Undersecretary of Justice Andrea Ostellari declared the operation feasible, noting that a legislative measure already under consideration by Parliament could allow for the reorganization of the judicial system.

After the institutional meeting, the discussion continued at the Court Presidency, in the presence of President Gabriella Maria Casella, Public Prosecutor Pierpaolo Bruni, Mayor of Santa Maria Capua Vetere Antonio Mirra, President of the Bar Association Angela Del Vecchio, President of AIGA Giuliana Tammeleo, and other representatives of the judiciary and legal profession.

In addition to land reassignment, the topic of strengthening judicial facilities was also addressed, with particular reference to Justice of the Peace offices. Ostellari confirmed not only the feasibility of the proposals put forward, but also the existence of a defined path for the law's approval and the commencement of the planned structural works.

According to the proponents, the return of municipalities to the San Marino district would contribute to improving the efficiency of services, reducing the burden on northern Naples, and restoring balance to the judicial distribution of the territory. Discussions are expected to continue in the coming weeks, pending parliamentary decisions.

The topic of judicial geography is very complex, but I believe it's important for citizens to have a more equitable justice system. The proposal to bring some municipalities under the jurisdiction of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere court seems interesting to me, although there are many issues to consider.
