The TRT World Forum has set the agenda for international debate

Istanbul, – The edition of the has ended TRT World Forum 2025, the ninth in its history, held since October 31th to November 1st with the theme “The Global Reset: From the Old Order to New Realities” (“The Great Global Revision: From the Old Order to New Realities”).

Over the course of the two days, the forum addressed major international issues, bringing together nearly 150 speakers from over 30 countries e more than 1.500 participants from all over the world.

A global meeting place for ideas and international leadership

Also this year the TRT World Forum 2025 attracted considerable attention from the international media, thanks to issues closely linked to the global agenda. The event took place in Istanbul, under the main title “The Global Reset: From the Old Order to New Realities” (“The Great Global Revision: From the Old Order to New Realities”).

Policy makers, journalists, academics, authoritative experts and representatives of the public and private sectors from around the world gathered on the international platform of the TRT World Forum.

A debate on crucial issues of international relevance

The event hosted open and private sessions, during which regional and global issues were explored, concrete solutions proposed, and mutual understanding strengthened.

During the thematic round tables, the experts discussed topics of international importance such as: “Contested Futures: Conflict and Reconciliation in East Africa”, “Trump's America: Understanding the Transformation”, "Cultural Diplomacy and Shared Identity in Central Asia: Paths of Cooperation and Regional Connectivity", "The Architecture of European Security: Between Institutional Overlap and Strategic Necessity", “From the Margins to the Mainstream: The Global Rise of the Far Right”, “The Gulf in a Fragmented World Order: Visions, Rivalries, and Fault Lines”, "From Victimhood to Resilience: The Road to Justice in Gaza" e “The Conflict in Ukraine: Diplomacy in the Fog of War”.

A solemn opening

On the first day of the TRT World Forum, one of the most important and prestigious events in the global media landscape, held the inaugural speeches on President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran and TRT General Director Mehmet Zahid Sobacı.

During the ceremony, six journalists, protagonists of a commemorative video dedicated to colleagues who lost their lives in Gaza, They handed over to President Erdoğan the press jacket they wore during their service in the Strip.

At the end of his speech, Director General Sobacı presented a gift to President Erdoğan, sealing a moment of strong symbolic and human value.

150 prominent national and international figures

Speakers at the important event, during which the main global current affairs issues were addressed for two days, included: almost 150 national and international personalities.

These include Djoomart Otorbaev, former Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Humza Yousaf, former First Minister of Scotland, Ahmed Assaf, General Supervisor of the Official Media of the State of Palestine, Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf, former judge of the International Court of Justice, and Patrick Youssef, Regional Director for Africa of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
