The 11th SIAP Provincial Congress, an event that combined the union, institutional, and social dimensions, recently concluded at the Provincial Auditorium on Via Ceccano. The day opened with a conference dedicated to preventing and combating gender-based violence, a crucial topic for the State Police and the many participating authorities, a sign of growing awareness of victims and the need for coordinated action.
The meeting, which attracted a strong attendance of professionals and institutional representatives, was opened by Provincial Secretary General Michele Iannotta, who was later elected as the new Secretary General at the conclusion of the conference. In his opening remarks, he introduced the team that will support him in his mandate, mentioning Rosario Affinito as Deputy and Deputy Secretary, Vito Battaglia for administrative management, Rachele De Santo for organization, along with Salvatore Rizzo, Donato Capuano, and Ivano Ortomeno, designated as Provincial Secretaries with operational responsibilities already transferred to the relevant bodies.
The congress's conclusion confirmed the union's commitment to strengthening the police presence alongside victims, with a commitment that goes beyond words but also aims to improve tools, training, and intervention capabilities. It was a day that combined reflection, responsibility, and internal renewal, in a context where combating gender-based violence remains a top priority.
