Ischia – He thought he could get away with it by flushing the drugs down the toilet, but the Carabinieri of the Ischia Company arrived moments earlier. A 52-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, was arrested after a raid yesterday evening at his apartment, where he had set up a veritable base for cocaine trafficking.
The police, led by Captain Giuseppe Giangrande, had been tracking him for days. He was caught by a customer who, having left the dealer's house, was stopped and searched. He found a gram of cocaine in his pockets, having just bought it for one hundred euros. At that point, the Carabinieri decided to intervene.
When officers knocked on the door, the man desperately attempted to block the entrance and dispose of the evidence by flushing the drugs down the toilet, but this was to no avail. During the search, the Carabinieri found a precision scale, packaging materials, and a beer can modified with a false bottom, used to hide the cocaine. He also had €900 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, in addition to the €100 he had just received from the customer stopped outside.
The 52-year-old was arrested and transferred to prison, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities awaiting trial. This operation confirms the Carabinieri's constant focus on combating drug dealing on the island and their commitment to ensuring the safety of the Ischian community.

The article talks about the arrest of a fifty-two-year-old man for drug dealing. It's interesting to see how quickly the Carabinieri acted, but I don't understand how a customer could help stop the dealer.
