Castellammare di stabia – The game will be played. This is the clear and necessary message sent today by the judicial administrators to the city and to the hot spot of the juve Stabia.
On Saturday, November 8th, Romeo Menti of Castellammare will not remain silent: the match against Palermo, scheduled for the Serie C championship, will be played regularly.
This announcement sounds like a lifeline for the Wasps' fans, following the legal turmoil that has rocked the club. On October 21, the Naples Court – Prevention Measures Section – placed SS Juve Stabia srl under judicial administration, appointing Drs. Salvatore Scarpa and Mario Ferrara to lead a company that has been targeted by the judiciary on serious charges of Camorra collusion in the management of tickets and other stadium-related services.
The consequences of that investigation had already been felt on the pitch: the previous home match on October 29th against Bari, at the request of the Interior Ministry, had been postponed to December 4th, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the club's immediate future.

Today, however, a change of heart arrives. In an official statement, the judicial administrators stand firm alongside the team. "This decision will have no impact on the sporting management of the team," the statement reads. A crucial step to reassure the club and its sponsors.
The chosen words go beyond mere administrative guarantees and are intended to be a balm for an open wound in the community. "The judicial administration wishes to reassure the fans, the city of Castellammare di Stabia, (...) that the current process is aimed at ensuring legality, strength, and momentum for the team and the club."
A process described as "complex," but one that the institutions promise to make "swift and effective" with a specific goal: safeguarding the "heritage of passion and identity" that has tied the club to its people for decades.
So, Saturday's kick-off at the Menti will not only mark the start of a match, but also symbolically the first step in a difficult restart, with the judiciary in the stands and an entire city hoping to see nothing but football again, from the away fans to the fans' stands.
