Maddaloni– Yet another story of gender-based violence, yet another man who refuses to accept the end of a relationship and turns a woman's life into hell. The latest, disturbing episode from Maddaloni, in the province of Caserta, sees a young woman forced to seek help from the Carabinieri to escape her tormentor: her ex-boyfriend.
The spiral of violence ended this afternoon, November 3, 2025, when the local station's military reported a 28-year-old local man at large for stalking.
The young woman's nightmare began immediately after their relationship ended. What was supposed to be a new beginning turned into a daily ordeal. The man, unable to accept the separation, began bombarding her with harassment, threats, and aggressive behavior.
A persecution that, as unfortunately often happens in these cases, quickly degenerated, moving from psychological to physical aggression.

Overcome by fear but determined to put an end to the violence, the victim found the courage to cross the threshold of the barracks this morning. She told the Carabinieri everything, describing in detail the constant harassment she had endured.
The investigation began immediately. The military's investigations quickly gathered solid evidence against the 28-year-old, a man already known to law enforcement. Under pressure, the man was reported to the competent judicial authorities.
Given the gravity of the situation and the obvious risk to the woman's safety, the "Red Code" procedure, the law protecting victims of domestic and gender-based violence, was immediately activated. The woman was then placed in contact with the local protection network, a crucial first step in trying to restore her lost serenity and protect her from her abuser.
