Campania is bracing for a wave of severe weather. The regional Civil Protection Department, based on analyses by the Functional Center, has issued a yellow-level weather warning for thunderstorms that will affect much of the region from 3:00 PM today until 3:00 PM tomorrow, Friday, November 21st.
The disturbance will bring localized rainfall, which in some areas could take the form of showers or even severe thunderstorms. The alert applies to the entire region, with the exception of Alta Irpina, Sannio, and Tanagro. Heavy rainfall is expected in several areas, resulting in localized hydrogeological risks.
Among the main expected effects: flooding, rising water levels in rivers, water flowing onto roads, and possible landslides or rockfall. Authorities recommend maximum caution, especially in the most vulnerable areas, and urge the public to follow updates and avoid unnecessary travel.
