Naples - “The areas "The internal regions of our Region are one of the priorities that Roberto Fico has placed at the center of his election campaign and will be at the center of his regional government." This was stated by Salvatore Micillo, regional coordinator of the Five Star Movement, a few days after the presentation of the M5S council group's bill for the enhancement of internal Campania, signed by regional councilors Michele Cammarano, Vincenzo Ciampi, and Gennaro Saiello.
"Our guiding principle," Micillo added, "is to strengthen public services in Campania's inland areas, guaranteeing the right to healthcare, employment, and training, so that no one has to leave. We need to reverse the national government's approach, which instead seeks to lead inland areas into inexorable decline."

With President Fico, Micillo continued, "we will implement initiatives to revitalize these areas and the small Campanian municipalities, with the aim of reversing the trend of depopulation, aging, and abandonment.
Beyond the obvious weaknesses, our inland areas possess environmental, ecosystemic, artistic, and cultural resources that, if properly enhanced through targeted projects, can help overcome the inevitable marginalization. Consider, for example, the creation of local hubs and support for the creation and consolidation of community cooperatives.
