Mondragone – For him, house arrest was just an option. A 63-year-old man, known to law enforcement as a convicted felon, decided to violate the obligations imposed on him by the regime, but the Carabinieri reminded him that rules aren't just details.
During the night, in the Pescopagano district of Mondragone, officers from the Territorial Unit's Mobile Radio Unit raided a "tiptoe" escape. The man, who was supposed to be serving a precautionary measure at his home for another crime, was caught and identified outside his residence, far from where he was legally required to remain.
There was no justification, no valid reason that could have authorized his removal. The Carabinieri, during a territorial patrol, reported him at large for the crime of escape. This charge adds to the 63-year-old's already heavy legal burden.
This incident demonstrates law enforcement's constant vigilance in enforcing precautionary measures and their ability to intervene to stop those who, despite the restrictions, continue to violate the law. For the 63-year-old, that nighttime "stroll" has turned into a new, serious legal problem.

It's strange how some people think they're above the rules. A man at that age should know better, but apparently that's not the case. Law enforcement is right to intervene in these cases.
