This morning, the State Police conducted a raid in the Montecalvario neighborhood, in the heart of the Spanish Quarter. Officers from the Flying Squad, with the support of the Montecalvario Police Station, the Campania Crime Prevention Unit, and the General Prevention Office's Canine Units, conducted a series of searches aimed at finding weapons and drugs.
During the operation, officers found and seized approximately two kilograms of marijuana, half a kilogram of cocaine, a block of hashish, and numerous doses of pre-packaged narcotics ready for retail sale. Various packaging materials were also recovered.
The intervention is part of a broader program to prevent and combat weapons and drug crimes implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters. The goal is to strengthen law enforcement presence in the area and ensure greater safety for citizens in one of the most sensitive areas of the city center.

It's very important that the police carry out these raids, but I hope this isn't just an isolated incident. Security must be guaranteed at all times, not just during checkpoints. There are too many problems in this area.
