The death of Rocco Amato, 28, originally from the hamlet of Sant'Andrea del Pizzone, in the municipality of Carinola, in the province of Caserta, remains shrouded in mystery, but the lead is increasingly clear.
The young man was found lifeless in a service car park near a hospital in Barcelona, Spain, at the end of a night that Spanish investigators are trying to reconstruct minute by minute.
According to preliminary investigations, Spanish police are favoring the accident hypothesis. Based on the initial investigations, Rocco could have tripped and fallen into a ravine adjacent to the rest area.
At this time, no concrete evidence suggests a primary assault or a voluntary act, but the case remains formally open to any possible developments.

Amato had been living in California for about six years, where he had built a career in entertainment as an organizer of electronic music events, often touring the world. He was recently in Barcelona for a concert, as confirmed by his family, who immediately flew to the Catalan city upon hearing the news of his death.
A key piece of evidence in the hands of investigators is a video that Spanish police have reportedly already shown to the 28-year-old's relatives. The footage appears to show Rocco running alone, with no one chasing him or appearing nearby. After those shots, everything goes dark: for about three hours, no other significant traces are found, until his body is found by a passerby in the parking lot, who then alerted emergency services.
The autopsy, ordered by the Spanish judicial authorities, will provide the first crucial answers: the time and cause of death, any signs of a struggle or fall from a height, and traces of alcohol or other substances.
Only with the coroner's report will the police be able to close the loop on what is currently being treated as a presumably accidental tragedy, but which remains a fraught affair for the family and the community of Sant'Andrea del Pizzone.

Rocco Amato's death is a tragedy that leaves many questions unanswered. It's difficult to understand how such an accident could have happened, especially to someone so young and with so much to offer. The investigation must shed light on this matter.
