Caserta's nightlife is once again under the scrutiny of the Carabinieri. On the evening of November 28, 2025, two venues on Via Ferrante were the subject of a joint inspection by the Labor Inspectorate, the Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit, and officers from the local station. This targeted operation, conducted while the street was buzzing with young people and music, revealed a series of significant irregularities.
In the first business, dedicated to the provision of food and beverages, the police identified two workers who were not regularly employed. The lack of contracts led to fines of €4.166 and the immediate suspension of the business, which will be able to reopen only after the staff has been fully regularized.
The second venue, also part of the nightlife circuit, demonstrated structural and management issues: outdated self-monitoring documents, non-compliant floor plans, restrooms in need of updating, insufficient space for employee lockers, and wastebaskets without pedal-operated lockers and opening mechanisms. In this case, a formal warning was issued, requiring all issues to be resolved within 30 days under the supervision of health authorities.
The operation confirms the importance of checks during the busiest nightlife hours, where attention cannot be limited to public safety but must also include worker protection, the health of the environment, and compliance with regulations protecting customers and operators. The evening of checks, in fact, does not just result in fines: it represents a reminder of responsibility for those who work in a sector central to the city's nightlife and social life.

The article talks about checks at Caserta's premises, but it seems to me that there are larger problems to be solved. Workers deserve to be protected, and the rules must be followed by everyone for everyone's safety.
