Naples - An argument, followed by gunshots fired in the night. It's the script of a settling of scores, or an internal dispute, unfolding in one of the city's hottest drug dealing areas.
The incident occurred last night in Pianura, a neighborhood north of Naples, a historic stronghold and stronghold of the Carillo-Perfetto clan, one of the most aggressive and well-established gangs in the hinterland.
The victim, a 40-year-old man, was shot multiple times in the lower limbs. The attack occurred shortly before dawn on Via Evangelista Torricelli, a street that, like many others in the area, is considered "sensitive" by law enforcement due to its high level of illicit activity and the large presence of Camorra members.
According to an initial reconstruction by officers from the Bagnoli Police Station, who were on site to conduct initial investigations, the man was apparently approached by a group of young people.

The shots, fired with reckless ferocity in a densely populated area, struck the man in the legs, knocking him to the asphalt.
Emergency services arrived immediately. The 40-year-old was rushed to the emergency room of San Paolo Hospital. After treating him, doctors discharged him with a 20-day prognosis: an outcome that, given the dynamics of organized crime, can only be considered a warning, a "warning" intended to intimidate.
The investigations of the Police State authorities are now focused on reconstructing the exact events and identifying the perpetrators. Investigators are not ruling out any possibility: from a petty argument, to a dispute over territorial control, to the possibility of "friendly fire" within the same criminal group.
In a neighborhood like Pianura, where the shadow of the clans looms over every activity, legal and illegal, every gunshot tells a story of power, money, and blood.
