Naples – The full circle has come to a shocking series of armed robberies and thefts that have plagued Casalnuovo di Napoli and the Vesuvius area this late spring. Yesterday, the Carabinieri executed two precautionary measures—a prison sentence and a mandatory residence order—against two individuals held responsible, to varying degrees, for crimes ranging from aggravated robbery to snatching and receiving stolen goods.
The investigation, coordinated by the Nola Public Prosecutor's Office and delegated to the Sant'Anastasia Carabinieri Station, began with an arrest in flagrante delicto on June 21st. That incident sparked a meticulous investigation, conducted using traditional investigative techniques, which allowed the reconstruction of the extensive criminal network.
The result is shocking: the main suspect is charged with carrying out eight robberies in just two months, between May and June 2025. A veritable criminal raid that affected several municipalities, including Casalnuovo di Napoli, Pomigliano d'Arco, Marigliano, Castello di Cisterna, Mariglianella, and Sant'Anastasia.
The second suspect, subject to the requirement to remain in the municipality of Casalnuovo, is implicated in other incidents. Specifically, the investigation has led to the following charges being attributed to him:

The precautionary detention orders, issued by the GIP (Preliminary Investigations Judge) of the Court of Nola, were executed yesterday by officers from the Sant'Anastasia station in the municipalities of Naples and Casalnuovo. The operation put an end to a series of crimes that had caused considerable social alarm in the affected areas.
