The preliminary investigations judge of the Naples Juvenile Court has ordered the pre-trial detention in a juvenile prison for the 15-year-old accused of the murder of Marco Pio Salomone, the 19-year-old murdered on the night between Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd on Via Generale Francesco Pinto, in the heart of the Arenaccia neighborhood.
According to the investigative reconstruction, the young suspect fired a gunshot to the forehead while Salomone was in a car with some friends. This sudden execution, which unfolded in a matter of moments and is still shrouded in mystery, has profoundly shaken the area.
The investigating judge did not validate the arrest carried out by the police, deeming the risk of his escape to be nonexistent. The 15-year-old had, in fact, voluntarily presented himself at the police headquarters accompanied by his lawyer, Beatrice Salegna, and his mother, a few hours after his name began circulating among investigators.

Despite this, the judge found serious evidence and the need for a restrictive measure, issuing a precautionary custody order against him at the IPM. The Flying Squad and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office are continuing their investigations to clarify the motive, circumstances, and possible responsibilities of other individuals involved in the tragic night at the Arenaccia.
There are still many, too many questions surrounding this latest murder of very young people on the streets of Naples. And among other things, the murder weapon is still missing.

It's incredible how such things happen, especially among young people. Pretrial detention is a difficult measure, but perhaps necessary in these cases. We hope the situation will be clarified for everyone as soon as possible.
