From bureaucracy to the future. The former INPS headquarters on Via Galileo Ferraris is being transformed into a housing and student hub that reshapes the relationship between housing and social inclusion.
Tomorrow, CX Naples Centrale will take shape, the new 500-bed university residence that represents one of the most significant urban regeneration projects in Campania in recent years.
Completed in two years with an investment of approximately €40 million, the complex spans over 15.000 square meters and houses 352 rooms, including 74 hotel-style rooms. The facility is more than just a dormitory: common areas include study rooms, co-working spaces, a gym, a shared kitchen, a panoramic rooftop, and areas dedicated to socializing and wellness. A conscious design choice, transforming the accommodation into a complete living experience.

But the most significant factor is the social aspect. Thanks to the agreement with Adisurc, the regional agency that manages the right to education, 83 housing units (30% of the total capacity) will be allocated to deserving students without financial resources at reduced rates. This inclusion mechanism goes beyond simple assistance, recognizing merit as an access criterion.
The project is the result of a complex partnership: the iGeneration Fund managed by Investire Sgr, CDP Real Asset, and the European Investment Fund, along with Fondazione Con il Sud, Cassa Forense, Enpav, and Intesa Sanpaolo. CX Naples Centrale is also a candidate for funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), providing further stability to the economic model.
For a city like Naples, where university student housing remains critical and social mobility is a key issue, this inauguration represents a concrete opportunity. Not only for those who will be able to access a room with all the amenities, but also as a symbol of how abandoned areas can become drivers of urban regeneration and inclusion.

I find this project very interesting and useful for students. Finally, there are more housing options and common spaces that can foster social interaction. I hope this initiative brings real benefits to the community.
