The streets of Naples became the scene of a sudden and futile escape for a 23-year-old man already under house arrest. Officers from the General Prevention Office, on their usual morning patrol, encountered him on Via Antonio Labriola driving a car, even though he was supposed to be at home.
Upon seeing the patrol car, the young man stepped on the accelerator, attempting to escape. The chase lasted only a few minutes, but was anything but ordinary. The car stopped on Via Gobetti, where the young man attempted one last move: he got out of the vehicle and climbed up the side of a building in an attempt to get back to his home without being caught.
The officers, however, followed him into his home and stopped him shortly thereafter. This incident confirmed the violation of the restrictive measure, and the 23-year-old was arrested for evading arrest.
