Naples - The anti-chaos plan for the All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day long weekend has been launched. Prefect Michele di Bari coordinated the traffic management effort, convening a task force at the prefecture with all stakeholders: from the police force to ANAS, from highway companies to the Civil Protection Department, the Port Authority, and the local police.
The goal is to manage the expected flow of motorists on Campania's roads, on a weekend marked by exoduses, football matches, and traditional cemetery visits. The Traffic Police have already stepped up surveillance on all major thoroughfares, from the Tangenziale to the highways. Operations centers have also been strengthened, with a constant eye on the cameras monitoring traffic on the Naples Ring Road.

The second, scheduled for both Sunday, November 1st and Monday, November 2nd, concerns access to the Naples Cemetery: the Doganella exit on the ring road will be closed to private vehicles from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During those times, only public and emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass.
The meeting at the prefecture revealed a joint effort to prevent emergencies. Autostrade per l'Italia and Autostrade Salerno Pompei Napoli have increased the number of patrols to manage traffic and potential accidents.
Anas has taken the same approach, reinforcing its maintenance and emergency response teams on all roads under its jurisdiction, where there are currently no active roadworks. This deployment of forces is aimed at preventing the traditional All Saints' Day holiday from turning into a nightmare for residents.
