Naples – A new, dramatic shadow looms over Pianura. The Naples neighborhood, already ravaged by the poison of fires and buried toxic waste, is at the center of a dire environmental report that raises fears of a return to the nightmare of the Land of Fires. The alarm was raised by the Green-Left Alliance MP, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who received a detailed complaint accompanied by photographic and video evidence that would attest to a genuine ecological attack underway.

Suspicious earth movements in restricted area

The epicenter of the threat is located in an area classified as coppice and protected by regulations. According to the report, heavy and unauthorized earthworks are taking place on land belonging to an agricultural cooperative linked to the Equestrian Center on Via Montagna Spaccata.

The report is chilling: a risky project that could transform the entire area into a hidden toxic dump. Eyewitness accounts document the illegal burial of heterogeneous materials, including legacy waste and potentially highly hazardous scraps. This practice represents a dramatic threat to the soil and underlying aquifers.

Contamination risk: from groundwater to table

MP Borrelli immediately expressed concern about the extremely serious health and environmental implications. "Those soils are destined for agricultural exploitation, and it is unacceptable that food intended for consumption can come from soil that could harbor toxic substances and pollutants," Borrelli stated, emphasizing the risk of chain contamination.

The suspicious dumping of undetermined waste—which may contain asbestos, hydrocarbons, and heavy metals—not only threatens public health and residents, but raises questions about the food chain.

"We cannot repeat the nightmare already experienced in the Land of Fires; we cannot allow another community to be condemned to silent poisoning."

Institutional Appeal: Immediate and Joint Intervention
The situation is exacerbated by the presence of horses kept in unsuitable conditions in potentially contaminated areas. Furthermore, the complaint also highlights the illegal imposition of boundaries and the arbitrary occupation of public land, particularly in the sensitive area of the former Pisani landfill.

Faced with such a serious alarm, Borrelli launched an appeal for joint and immediate action:

Legitimacy Verification: Verify the existence of authorizations for the works in progress.

Materials Assessment: Verify the origin and nature of the buried materials.

Financial Analysis: Assess the financial situation of the company involved.

"It's essential that the local health authority (ASL), ARPAC (Regional Health Authority), the municipality, the region, law enforcement, and the judicial authorities act jointly and immediately," concluded Borrelli. "Every day of delay means further risks to our health. Legality is not optional; life cannot be treated like waste to be buried."

The report, submitted by a courageous citizen and kept anonymous for security reasons, demands an urgent and decisive response from the state to stop what the MP calls a "silent poisoning."
