Naples – A massive operation against the illegal trade in counterfeit products led the Guardia di Finanza of Naples to seize 38.000 fake items and approximately 100.000 non-compliant electrical devices, charging two individuals with counterfeiting, receiving stolen goods, and commercial fraud.
The operation, mandated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, focused on a business that threatened fair competition in the perfumery and household appliance sectors.
It all started on October 30th, when the financial police of the Portici Company stopped a suspicious van in the industrial area of Naples.

The goods, poised to flood a parallel black market, would have generated profits of over a million euros, severely damaging the legitimate economy. During the searches, a second strand also emerged: 100.000 electrical items without safety certifications, with the "CE" mark fraudulently applied to deceive consumers and circumvent European regulations.
Investigations are continuing to dismantle the entire network, with authorities emphasizing the risk to public health and the local economy. This seizure represents a severe blow to the counterfeiting phenomenon, which continues to thrive in the industrial suburbs of Southern Italy.
