Boscoreale - Footage from municipal video surveillance cameras in Piazza Pace in Boscoreale has provided investigators with a fairly clear picture of the ambush that killed 18-year-old Pasquale Nappo, a man with no criminal record.
The investigation is at a turning point, and thanks to the reconstruction of the young worker's social circle, it's clear that whoever fired the gun was intent on killing. It's likely not Pasquale Nappo, who was in the line of fire. But the three bullets were fired at chest height.
Pasquale Nappo, who lived in the Mariconda public housing complex in Scafati, was accompanied by several adults with whom he had attended a girl's 18th birthday party in Naples.

The investigation revealed that the hitmen drove twice along the road bordering Piazza Pace and were driving the wrong way when they fired. Their full-face helmets and dark clothing make their identification difficult, but it is hoped that they will at least find the motorcycle they used, which will undoubtedly prove stolen, and on which they will be able to recover traces and fingerprints of its riders, the two killers.
The Carabinieri investigation, coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office, continues and aims to determine why the shooting took place last night in Piazza Pace, why, and whether the target was Pasquale Nappo or someone in his company.

The investigation into this situation is very complex, as there are many factors at play. Pasquale Nappo didn't seem like a dangerous young man, but violence is always lurking. I hope investigators can find those responsible as soon as possible.
