Yesterday, a strategic meeting was held at the Prefecture in Naples, convened by Prefect Michele di Bari. The meeting was dedicated to updating the Port of Pozzuoli's infrastructure, which is severely impacted by bradyseismic activity.
The meeting was attended by the Extraordinary Commissioner for the implementation of public interventions in the Phlegraean Fields, Fulvio Soccodato, the Mayor of Pozzuoli Luigi Manzoni, the Commander of the Harbour Office Agostino Galati and representatives of the General Directorates for Mobility and Civil Protection of the Campania Region.
During the meeting, Commissioner Soccodato outlined the advanced status of the highly complex technical projects funded by the Commissioner's Office and implemented by the Campania Region. Among these, the installation of the floating pontoon stands out, essential for facilitating ferry embarkation and disembarkation operations. The timetable calls for the pontoon to be fully operational by January, following commissioning tests and authorization from the Port Authority.

Soccodato also announced that, following the removal of numerous war ordnance found on the seabed, work is planned to level the port, which will improve safety and the smoothness of ferry maneuvers. The Campania Region is evaluating the possibility of extending these activities to the landing stage, to optimize public spending and coordinate redevelopment efforts.
At the end of the meeting, all participants expressed satisfaction with the progress made, emphasizing that the port of Pozzuoli represents not only a crucial escape route from the area affected by bradyseism, but also a strategic hub for transportation to the islands and for the local economy.

Strengths
The meeting at the prefecture seems to have been useful for discussing matters relating to the port of Pozzuoli, but many things remain unclear. Bradyseism has a significant impact, and the floating pontoon is important. I hope it works well.
