The morning in Pozzuoli quickly turned into a race against time for State Police officers, who were trying to identify the perpetrator of a theft of work tools. The incident was reported by a man who went to the police station and reported the theft of numerous tools stored in his car parked on Via Solfatara.
The investigation began immediately, and the Flying Squad launched a rapid investigation that quickly traced the vehicle used to carry out the robbery. The search led officers to the Roma camp in Giugliano in Campania, where—with the support of Italian Army personnel engaged in mobile surveillance—the suspicious vehicle was located.
A 23-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement for several previous convictions, was also located in the area. He was found in possession of the stolen property. The young man was charged with aggravated theft, while the recovered tools were returned to their rightful owner.

The news is interesting, but it's unclear why they found the thief so quickly. Perhaps there are too many thefts in that location, and the police are working hard to improve the situation.
