Qualiano – Giving voice to the tragedy and anger of yet another act of violence against a woman, which only by chance did not turn into yet another femicide, is Marika, the victim's daughter from a previous marriage. In a heartbreaking Facebook post, she called for justice, transforming her personal pain into a heartfelt social appeal.

"I am the daughter of the miraculous girl from Qualiano, and I want her attacker inside me forever," Marika wrote. She harshly criticized the ineffectiveness of protective measures, from reporting cases to electronic bracelets, which have failed to ensure her mother's safety. "Enough with femicides, enough with house arrest after multiple reports, enough with useless bracelets, and enough with laws that fail to save these women in danger," she urged.

A disconcerting detail emerged from her story: "My mother was in the police station half an hour before the incident, convinced she was protected by the police.

Her message concluded with a universal appeal: "I want justice for my mother, I want justice for all women. Help us get this message across to the right people. We can no longer live in fear."

Marika later posted the same touching words from Peruvian activist Cristina Torres Cáceres, recently echoed by Elena Cecchettin, Giulia's sister: "Mom, don't cry over my ashes. If it's my turn tomorrow, Mom, if I don't come back tomorrow, destroy everything. If it's my turn tomorrow, I want to be the last." A cry that highlights the need for a definitive turning point in the fight against gender violence.

Reading this article, I was deeply touched by Marika's story. It's sad to think that so many women suffer violence. We hope the laws change to better protect women in difficult situations.
