A judicial turnaround in Salerno in the investigation into the Fezza-De Vivo clan of Pagani. The Court of Review has annulled the precautionary seizure order against Giuseppe D'Auria, one of the suspects in the anti-mafia operation that on September 11th led to the arrest of 88 people, including alleged members and supporters of the criminal group. At the center of the order is an insurance policy worth over €38, which must now be returned to its rightful owner.
The panel of judges—chaired by Dolores Zarone with judges Cristina De Luca and Enrichetta Cioffi—fully accepted the defense arguments of lawyer Gioacchino Genchi, according to which the seizure ordered by the preliminary investigations judge was without any concrete basis.

In a statement released after the decision, D'Auria's defense spoke of "full recognition of the objections raised" and "a decision that re-establishes the legality violated by an act lacking the prerequisites required by the code." The return of the policy marks an important step in the complex investigation, which remains under the control of the Salerno District Anti-Mafia Directorate.

It's interesting how the court's decision was able to overturn the seizure, but I wonder if there's any concrete evidence to support this decision. The issue of insurance policies seems complex and deserves further investigation.
