Sarno - A repeat offender from Sarno, burdened by numerous criminal records and currently subject to a ban from residing in the municipality, was arrested yesterday afternoon, Thursday, November 13, by personnel from the Investigative Team of the Sarno Public Safety Commissioner's Office.

The operation was triggered following a vehicle check, later transformed into a search, during which the officers made an alarming discovery inside the car of the man, identified with the initials SD

The search led to the seizure of a veritable improvised and dangerous arsenal. The repeat offender was found in possession of: a pistol with a scratched serial number (illegal weapon), immediately operational with a chambered round;
a modified blank-firing pistol, also ready for use, confirming a clear and immediate intention for use.

In addition to the two weapons, the subject also had a magazine with six rounds of ammunition, and two switchblades and approximately 40 grams of hashish were found inside the vehicle.

The man was immediately arrested. After completing the usual formalities at the police station, the SD criminal was taken to the Salerno prison, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending a validation hearing. He will face charges ranging from the possession and illegal carrying of illegal and modified weapons to the possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
