sarno, – A flash robbery: around 3:40 this morning, a group of criminals forced entry to the BMP Bank branch on Via Prolungamento Matteotti, aiming straight for the ATM to steal its contents.
The operation, which lasted just a few minutes, left the institution with clear signs of forced entry, while the night checkout of the vending machine was expertly removed.
Carabinieri from the local station and state police patrol cars promptly arrived on the scene and began technical investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the robbery.
Investigators are now focusing on images captured by video surveillance cameras installed both in the bank and in public and private locations in the area where the robbery took place. These videos may have captured the faces or vehicles of the perpetrators, providing concrete leads for identification.

The ATM, once forced open and emptied, was found abandoned in a suburban area of Sarno, perhaps in an attempt by the thieves to throw off the search. Law enforcement is keeping the exact details of the theft secret, but suspects specialized tools were used to quickly open the internal safe.
The investigation is proceeding rapidly, with the hope that video evidence will lead to an arrest soon.

It's strange how thieves always manage to steal without being caught, but law enforcement should do more to prevent these incidents. Technology like cameras helps, but in my opinion, it's not enough.
