Naples - More bloodshed on the streets of Fuorigrotta, another dramatic incident that urgently raises the issue of road safety in one of Naples' busiest neighborhoods.
The latest incident occurred on the corner of Via Regolo and the busy Viale Augusto, the scene of a violent collision that left a motorcyclist stranded on the asphalt, now hospitalized in serious condition.
According to initial reports, still being examined by authorities, the accident's dynamics are disturbing: the car involved veered onto the road in the wrong direction, hitting the two-wheeler. The impact was inevitable and devastating.
The news, documented by a photo sent by some residents, was relaunched by the Green-Side Alliance MP, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who has long been collecting complaints from citizens exasperated by the Neapolitan "jungle" of asphalt.
At his side is Rosario Pugliese, a member of the regional executive of Europa Verde, with whom Borrelli shares a long-standing awareness campaign against road pirates.
The two politicians' reaction is bitter, pointing the finger at a seemingly unending plague. "Unfortunately, despite many initiatives and battles," Borrelli and Pugliese explain in a joint statement, "the situation regarding accidents, street crime, and wildcat racing shows no sign of abating in the neighborhood."
The incident on Via Regolo is part of a string of accidents that is alarming residents of the 10th Municipality, tired of witnessing reckless driving and traffic violations that put the lives of citizens at risk on a daily basis.

I agree with what you wrote. We need to step up road safety and raise public awareness of the dangers of the roads. Too many accidents happen in a short period of time; concrete solutions are needed as soon as possible.
Reading about this accident makes me wonder how road safety could be improved in neighborhoods like Fuorigrotta. The situation is worrying, and drivers should be more responsible.
