A dawn raid led the Carabinieri of Secondigliano to discover a hiding place beyond belief: in a baby's bedroom, among the furniture intended for the child, a veritable arsenal of drugs, ready to be released on the market, was stored. Gennaro Esposito, a twenty-nine-year-old from the neighborhood and already known to law enforcement, was arrested and caught with a stash of highly valuable narcotics.

The officers were engaged in a targeted operation to counter weapons and drugs when they reached the young man's home. The search quickly took an unexpected turn: the closet in the child's room, seemingly innocuous and perfectly organized, concealed a quantity of prohibited substances, confirming the scale of the twenty-nine-year-old's trafficking operation. Among the clothing and belongings of his new family, they found fifteen kilos of hashish, almost two kilos of heroin, and over eight hundred grams of cocaine, all packaged and ready for distribution.

The proximity of the material to the baby's crib shocked investigators, signaling a level of risk and unscrupulousness that adds to the gravity of the matter. Esposito was arrested and transferred to prison on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, while investigations continue to identify the source of the shipment and possible accomplices involved in the neighborhood's distribution network.
