Naples - On the morning of November 8, State Police officers executed a precautionary detention order against a 34-year-old Neapolitan man with multiple criminal records, considered a serious suspect in the aggravated theft that occurred in Secondigliano in recent weeks.
The order was issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Court of Naples at the request of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, following an investigative activity conducted by the Secondigliano Police Station.
The alleged incident dates back to the night of October 4th, when, outside a bar along Corso Secondigliano, the alleged perpetrator allegedly opened the door of a customer's car and stole a bag containing a sum of money described by investigators as "substantial." The act was swift, but was captured by several surveillance cameras in the area.
The images provided the police with the first useful clues to begin an investigation in the area, which, step by step, led to the identity of the alleged perpetrator. Having gathered the evidence, the Prosecutor's Office requested and obtained a precautionary prison sentence.
The investigations are not closed: the Police is in fact continuing with investigations and checks to identify any accomplices who may have helped the thief.
