Traffic restrictions in Naples to improve air quality. To combat air pollution, the City of Naples has adopted new measures in accordance with the Regional Air Quality Protection Plan and European directives.
A government decree has imposed restrictions on vehicle traffic throughout the city, valid until March 31, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. The following restrictions apply: All Euro 0 and Euro 1 passenger cars and commercial vehicles are prohibited; diesel-only passenger cars and diesel commercial vehicles (categories N1, N2, and N3) up to Euro 5, as well as motorcycles and mopeds up to Euro 2.

Excluded from the ban are city motorways (A1, A3, former SS 162, Viale Fulco di Calabria junction) and certain vehicle categories, including: vehicles for transporting disabled people, emergency vehicles, law enforcement vehicles, public transport, taxis, vintage cars, medical and public utility vehicles.
"These measures," the City of Naples emphasizes, "are necessary to counter the constant exceeding of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) limits and ensure compliance with European air quality standards."

Traffic restrictions in Naples seem like a good idea to improve the air quality, but I don't know if residents are in agreement with these rules. Some may have issues with vehicles not being allowed to circulate.
