Succivo – An explosion of violence, unleashed over trivial reasons, bloodied the late evening of November 1, 2025, in Succivo, in the Caserta province. A 37-year-old man attacked an acquaintance using a hammer and a pickaxe as weapons, in an argument that escalated into a blood-curdling brawl.
The incident occurred on Via De Gasperi, where the argument, which began over trivial matters, quickly took a dangerous turn. According to the Carabinieri's reconstruction, the 37-year-old man, a resident of one of the municipalities of Atella, lost control and attacked the victim, repeatedly hitting him with tools he had brought from home.
After the attack, the suspect fled in a Fiat Idea.

Thanks to images from surveillance cameras in the area and valuable witness statements, the Carabinieri reconstructed the incident, identified the vehicle, and quickly tracked down the alleged attacker. The tools used in the crime—the hammer and pickaxe—were seized.
The victim of the attack, a man living in Sant'Arpino, was treated and rushed to Aversa Hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with head and leg injuries, which were expected to heal within 15 days: a prognosis that, fortunately, rules out permanent consequences.
The 37-year-old was subsequently charged at liberty with the crimes of illegal possession of weapons or instruments of aggression and bodily harm. The Judicial Authorities have been informed of the incident, while the Carabinieri are continuing their investigations to fully understand the circumstances that led to the man's rampage.
