Telese Terme – The Benevento police commissioner has put a lockdown on a business in the center of Telese Terme, suspending its food and beverage license following a series of incidents of violence and public disturbance.
The measure, decided on the basis of a careful investigative activity conducted by the Administrative Police Division of the Police Headquarters, was motivated by a sequence of events that have kept law enforcement on high alert in recent months.
It all began on April 26, when Carabinieri officers from the Cerreto Sannita unit intervened to quell a violent fight between youths inside the bar. The incident, which involved several youths, caused great concern among residents and local authorities. But it wasn't an isolated incident: on May 25, another fight between youths occurred at the same bar, confirming a trend of escalating tensions.
These incidents are compounded by repeated police interventions due to late-night noise and loud music, often beyond the hours permitted by the mayor's ordinance. The situation has become unbearable for the community, which has called for greater control and security in the area.
With the license suspension, the venue will remain closed for a limited period, pending further investigation and any final measures. The police commissioner emphasized that this is a necessary measure to protect public order and the safety of residents, especially at a time when the presence of young people in nightclubs requires greater attention from the authorities.
