The Alfredo Giraud Stadium in Torre Annunziata is officially ready for use, and this time for good. After years of work, inspections, and bureaucracy, the sports facility has finally obtained permanent safety certification, a historic achievement that makes it one of the few facilities in Italy to boast such a title.

The news came at the end of the meeting of the Municipal Commission for the Oversight of Public Entertainment, held today at the offices on Via Provinciale Schiti. The mayor was present at the meeting. Corrado Cuccurullo, the representatives of the Fire Brigade, the ASL, the Municipal Police, the Municipal Technical Office, the CONI and the consultants in charge.

"This is the first time in the Giraud's history that a permanent permit has been issued," Mayor Cuccurullo commented. "We are thus moving beyond the old system of temporary permits for individual events and paving the way for a stable sports and cultural program. The stadium is once again becoming a resource for the entire city."

Obtaining the final license concludes a lengthy technical and administrative process that has accompanied the redevelopment of the facility, the beating heart of Oplonti's football passion, over the past few years. With the new certification, the stadium will be able to host not only sporting matches and competitions, but also events and initiatives consistent with its intended purpose.
