Train 8418, which departed at 5:53 a.m. from Reggio Calabria Centrale and headed to Venice Santa Lucia, was the hardest hit: over 500 minutes late, more than eight hours longer than scheduled. Train 9584, departing from Reggio Calabria, was also affected. Calabria at 6.25 am and headed to Turin Porta Nuova, it accumulated a delay of over 400 minutes, almost seven hours.

The situation at Naples Central Station remained critical throughout the morning, with delays of between 250 and 390 minutes reported on the timetables and hundreds of passengers waiting or seeking information. Law enforcement and railway personnel arrived at the scene of the accident to conduct an investigation and remove the body, but traffic was partially restored only after several hours.

This is a truly complicated and inconvenient situation for travelers. It's unacceptable that there are so many delays and problems with trains, especially when the lives of those involved are at stake. We hope that measures will be taken to avoid similar incidents in the future.
