Yesterday afternoon, Scampia was once again the focus of State Police patrols, engaged in a territorial control operation that turned into a double anti-drug operation that resulted in the arrest of two men with specific criminal records.
The first episode took place in via Federico Fellini, where the officers of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office noticed a 46-year-old man from Pozzuoli who, at the sight of the patrol car, tried to escape by running between the buildings
The escape lasted only a few seconds: the police caught up with him and stopped him, finding him in possession of five cans of cobret—chemically treated heroin—weighing approximately 5 grams. He was arrested for possession with intent to sell.

The second operation took place shortly after, a few streets away. A patrol of police The Scampia Police Station intercepted a suspicious car on Via Labriola: the driver, a 33-year-old Neapolitan man already known to the police, stepped on the accelerator upon seeing the officers, starting a high-voltage chase.
For several blocks, the man endangered motorists and pedestrians with reckless maneuvers, until he was caught and stopped on Via Tancredi Galimberti.
During the search, officers recovered 19 packages of cocaine (approximately 10 grams) and another 15 packages of crack cocaine (approximately 6 grams) hidden in the vehicle. The search then continued at the 33-year-old's home, where officers found another 20 packages of cocaine—approximately 9 grams—a precision scale, and drug packaging materials, evidence that would confirm a well-structured drug dealing operation.
In addition to his arrest for drug possession, he was also charged with resisting arrest. He was also charged with driving without a license, a violation he had already committed two years earlier.
Both suspects were arrested pending the decision of the judicial authorities.
