Castellammare - If there's one team that needs to rely on the final result, it's certainly Juve Stabia, who put league leaders Monza to the sword on several occasions with a superb performance.
It should be remembered that the Brianza team were on a run of seven consecutive victories and had conceded seven goals in the entire campaign; today they conceded two. The final result was influenced by two goalkeeping blunders and a penalty first awarded to Juve Stabia by the referee and then disallowed after a VAR call.
A tough but beautiful and intense match, even in the first half, with few goal-scoring opportunities.
The league leaders, however, unexpectedly took the lead on their first opportunity in the 19th minute through Birindelli, who was quick to tap in a Ciurria shot that had been blocked by the post. Castellammare di Stabia equalized in the 31st minute when Candellone thanked his former teammate Demba Thiam for a missed clearance near midfield, allowing the home team's striker to slot the ball into the empty net.

In the second half, Juve Stabia dominated the game and Monza huddled in their own half. Coach Bianco realized it was time to push the envelope and sent out a heavy artillery force featuring Petagna, Keita Balde, and Delli Carri. The balance was broken by Petagna's goal: the substitute capitalized on a mistimed exit by Confente to head home his first league goal. The former Napoli player hadn't scored in over a year.
Juve Stabia didn't give up, and even though they were exposed to Brianza's counterattacks, they pushed forward, attacking their opponents in their own half. The equalizer finally came in the 38th minute of the second half with a precise left-footed shot from the edge of the box by Maistro, who had replaced Mosti a few minutes earlier.
Applause for everyone at the end, and now it's time to focus on Thursday's rescheduled match against Bari, also at the Menti Stadium. A win for Coach Abate's men would boost them back up the table.

The match was interesting, but there were too many goalkeeping errors. Juve Stabia played well, but the final result wasn't favorable. We hope to see improvements in the next match.
