Villaricca - Violence, when it arises within the walls of the home, is the most devastating. It can transform blood ties into a never-ending nightmare, which continues to hurt even beyond prison bars.
It is the story of a woman from Villaricca, a victim of assaults and rapes for years. threats of his brother, a man already known to the police and now detained, but still capable of instilling fear.
Francesco Emilio Borrelli, MP for the Green-Left Alliance, has denounced this latest chapter in this family drama, having responded to the victim's desperate plea.
The woman, the MP said, had already been brutally attacked last year in Secondigliano: hit by a scooter, then beaten, she sustained injuries that healed in seven days, as confirmed by the emergency room report. But the physical violence was only the beginning of a nightmare that continued over time.

Today, despite the attacker being behind bars, threats continue to reach his sister and father. The man reportedly communicates from inside prison using an illegally held cell phone, a device he has used repeatedly to make intimidating and death threats.
A fact which, Borrelli denounces, "is extremely serious and unacceptable".
"Receiving death threats directly from prison," the MP explains, "demonstrates that the system doesn't adequately protect victims. We demand immediate intervention from the Department of Prison Administration to seize the cell phone and isolate the inmate. The safety of the woman and her father comes first. The state must send a strong signal: those in prison cannot be allowed to continue spreading terror."
The MP also announced that he will submit a parliamentary question and will promote all necessary initiatives "to ensure justice and protection for those held captive by fear."

This woman's story is very sad and makes us think about how domestic violence is a serious problem that cannot be ignored. It's important to intervene to protect the victims who suffer from these situations. We hope there are more effective measures.
