Vitulazio – A terrible tragedy shook the community of Vitulazio yesterday evening, Monday, November 24, when a 44-year-old woman lost her life in a dramatic road accident.
The victim is Giuseppina Luongo, a resident of the Caserta area. The fatal accident occurred on Provincial Road 146.
According to initial investigations by the local Carabinieri, the woman was driving her car when, for reasons still under investigation, she suddenly lost control. The car skidded violently, leaving the road and fatally striking a tree on the side of the road.
The impact was incredibly violent and, unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for Giuseppina Luongo: the woman died instantly.
Carabinieri officers responded immediately to the scene to conduct routine checks and manage traffic. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the vehicle's loss of control: no explanation has been ruled out, ranging from illness to a fatal distraction, or even a possible mechanical failure. The body has been transferred for further examination.
The news has thrown the entire community into despair, and they are rallying around the victim's family.
