A 51-year-old Neapolitan man was arrested after being caught by State Police in Afragola while he was driving a car with the engine running and almost 40 grams of drugs hidden between the front seats.
The man, stopped on Via Bruno Buozzi during a patrol, was found to be carrying marijuana, hashish, precision scales, and packaging materials.
Officers from the Afragola Police Station, suspicious of the car parked with its engine running, decided to conduct a more thorough investigation. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of nine packages of marijuana weighing approximately 36 grams and two packages of hashish weighing approximately 5 grams, as well as three electronic scales and sachets used to package the drug. Furthermore, the man was found to be carrying €260 in various denominations of banknotes in his pocket, a typical breakdown of proceeds from drug dealing.
The investigation didn't stop at the street. With a search warrant, investigators went to the man's home, where they found another package of marijuana weighing approximately 2 grams and a precision scale. These items confirmed the suspected drug dealing activity and led to his arrest.
The operation is part of the extraordinary measures implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug trafficking in the area. This action demonstrates how law enforcement has intensified its operations, even in the suburbs of Naples. The suspect has been transferred to Poggioreale Prison, where he is being held by the Judicial Authorities. Investigations are continuing to determine possible links to broader drug trafficking networks.

It's truly disturbing to see how people continue to sell drugs even when law enforcement is active. I don't understand why people put themselves in such risky situations, especially with increased enforcement.
