A fight stemming from old grudges erupted one April night and resulted in bloodshed in Piazza Gianturco, Afragola. On April 24, a 19-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen during a clash between groups of youths. Today, the Carabinieri's investigations at the local station yielded an initial result: a local minor with no criminal record has been issued a precautionary order for his placement in a community facility, issued by the investigating judge of the Juvenile Court at the request of the prosecutor.
The investigation, reconstructed through video surveillance footage and testimony gathered by the police, revealed that the argument, which began over "trivial reasons stemming from previous disagreements," escalated within moments. During that incident, the minor allegedly stabbed the 19-year-old in the abdomen, then fled and disappeared.
The young man faces serious charges: attempted murder and illegal possession of a knife. This incident rekindles awareness of tensions between youth gangs in some areas of the Naples province, where a fight can quickly escalate into extreme violence.
