Naples – The extraordinary operations ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters, aimed at curbing drug trafficking and dealing in the area, continue unabated. The intensified enforcement has led to another significant result in the Secondigliano neighborhood.
Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Secondigliano Police Station dealt a serious blow to the local micro-drug trafficking network, arresting a 47-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement and with a criminal record. The man was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
The raid took place in Largo IV Aprile, an area closely monitored by investigators. Here, plainclothes officers caught the 47-year-old in the thick of his business: he was selling doses of drugs to several buyers.
The officers promptly intervened to interrupt the criminal activity, successfully apprehending the dealer and one of the buyers. Following the search, the suspect was found in possession of seven packages of cocaine and €110, divided into banknotes of various denominations, believed to be the immediate proceeds of the illicit activity he had just committed.
For these reasons, the suspect was arrested by the operating personnel. At the same time, the buyer was fined administratively, as required by law for possession of narcotics for personal use. This operation confirms the State Police's constant presence in high-crime areas to ensure greater public safety.
