Salerno – An argument broke out in an apartment in eastern Salerno, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old man. The tragedy unfolded overnight in a residence on Via Gabriele D'Annunzio, where, according to initial reports by the Carabinieri, an argument between the homeowner and the young man escalated into a violent brawl.
The confrontation reportedly involved the homeowner, identified as Luca Fedele, and the victim, who was in the apartment for reasons still unclear. During the argument, which quickly escalated into a physical fight, the 35-year-old was reportedly punched at least once, lost his balance, fell heavily to the floor, and died moments later.
It remains to be determined whether the victim's death was directly caused by the blow received or by the consequences of the fall. An autopsy, ordered by the Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office, will clarify the dynamics of the victim's injuries and establish the precise cause of death.
Luca Fedele was detained and arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. Carabinieri officers from the Salerno Provincial Command are reconstructing the events in the home minute by minute, interviewing witnesses, acquiring any video surveillance footage from the area, and examining any evidence that might help establish the relationship between the two men.
During the search, officers reportedly found narcotics inside the apartment. For this reason, investigators are not ruling out the possibility of a drug-related issue at the root of the violent argument, although no definitive conclusions are currently being drawn.
The Salerno Public Prosecutor's Office is coordinating the investigation, which aims to clarify the motive for the murder, the nature of the relationship between the victim and the suspect, and the possible role of drugs in the incident. Further technical tests and the autopsy results are expected in the coming hours, which could provide decisive answers to a tragedy that unfolded in a matter of moments within the four walls of a home.

It's a very sad thing that happens at home. I don't understand how it can get to this point. Violence doesn't solve problems. It's important to find a way to talk and resolve things without causing harm.
